Welcome to Talon Point Camp!
Sbalyan whe et whuti ~ “Place where there are eagles”
Located in Northwestern BC, Talon Point Camp is situated on Ts’il Kaz Koh Yintah, Burns Lake Band’s Poison Creek Indian Reserve. Robert Charlie owns and operates this venue and store at his home on the lake shore, 5 minutes from the Village municipality.
This Leaning into the Land experience is intended to connect visitors of all ages and abilities to an Indigenous themed, outdoor four-season venue providing a personalized land and water based experiences and a re-connection to Mother Earth.
Talon Point Camp has teepees for group gatherings and sleepovers (lined for winter use), outdoor fire cooked traditional meals, local Indigenous showcase performance evenings and easy access trails with water based experiences on our many boats as well as single and multi-day retreat like personal and land learning opportunities. Also available is a sweat lodge and therapeutic saunas for those looking to connect to body, mind and spirit. There is also a Trading & Smudge shop to purchase (or trade for) ceremonial supplies, authentic Indigenous art and food, as well as crafts, clothing and more!
Both the camp and trading shop are “softly opening” in July of 2020 with day use rentals and programs. When the camp is in full operations in July it will have overnight accommodations and full multi-day retreats with the construction of a demonstration pit-house!
We hope you will find your way to Talon Point Camp!
